Cha Tae-Sik (played by Won Bin), known only as 'ajusshi' in his neighbourhood who runs a pawnshop. He associates little with those around him except a young girl named So-Mi (starring Kim Se-Ron). Her mother, Hyo-Jeong smuggles drugs from a drug trafficking organization and entrusts Tae-Sik with the product, without letting him know. The traffickers find out about her smuggling and kidnap her and So-Mi. The traffickers promise to release them if Tae-Sik makes a delivery for them, however it is actually a larger plot to eliminate their rival drug ring leader.

'The Man From Nowhere' is the Korean version of The Denzel Washington Film ‘Man on Fire’ … I personally feel that this movie is way better than ‘Man on Fire’. This action movie - 'The Man From Nowhere' is listed as the MOST watched Korean movie in the box-office. A true Korean Classic. The plot was extremely splendid. If you can handle heavy violence and bloody action scenes then this is one of the awesome movies that you can't miss it... This movie is absolutely amazing, worth my thumbs up!

Won Bin really shines in this new role… He brings incredible believability to the film, little dialogue though but his body language convey the emotions. I am impressive by his ability to take on a hardcore role. Won Bin is rightly deserved the Best Actor Awards at the Grand Bell and Korean Film Award in 2010.

I had the pleasure of watching the preview screening all thanks to Samsung Singapore. The premiere date is on the 17 March 2011.
