Preview screening of Footloose

Thanks Terence for extending his invite to me to watch the preview screening of 'Footloose'...

--- Posters of Footloose ---

‘Footloose’ is a 2011 American dance film. It is a remake of a 1984 film starring Kevin Bacon. The film is about a teenager who moves from Boston to a small southern town and protests against the ban on dancing.

An accident occurred after a long night of party-ing, since then, dancing and rock music were banned from the Southern town of Bomont, GA.

Three years later after the tragic accident, Ren McCormack (played by Kenny Wormald) who was raised in Boston moves to Boment to live with his uncle after his mother passed on. Soon, he learns that the city council banned dancing and eventually falls for Ariel (starring Julianne Hough), daughter of the reverend of the church in Bomont.

3.5/5

The plot is good yet cliché but I was glad that they did a remake of this classic movie for the younger generations. The dancing was amazing and songs from the 80s were nostalgic too.

Kevin Bacon is still holding his ironic role well in ‘Footloose’, though Kenny Wormald acts well in the movie...
