Preview screening of Immortals

Thanks Darren for extending his invite to me to watch the preview screening of 'Immortals'...

--- Poster of Immortals ---

'Immortals' is a 3D fantasy and hardcore action movie
Eons after the Gods won their mythical struggle against the Titans, a new evil threatens the land. Mad with power, King Hyperion (played by Mickey Rourke) has declared a war. Amassing a bloodthirsty army of soldiers disfigured by his own hand, Hyperion has scorched Greece in search of the legendary Epirus Bow, a weapon of unimaginable power forged in the heavens by Ares. Only he who possesses this bow can unleash the Titans, who have been imprisoned deep within the walls of Mount Tartarus since the dawn of time and thirsts for revenge. In the king's hands, the bow would rain destruction upon mankind and annihilate the Gods. But ancient law dictates the Gods must not intervene in man's conflict. They remain powerless to stop Hyperion until a peasant named Theseus (starring Henry Cavill) comes forth as their only hope. Secretly chosen by Zeus, Theseus must save his people from Hyperion and his hordes...

The acting from the cast in the movie was bad... There is no chemistry between Henry Cavill & Freido Pinto in the movie at all. Henry Cavill as Theseus barely emotes throughout the whole show, even when he watched his mother getting killed by the villains.
2.5/5
It is really a let-down, as I love Greek mythology and I thought that Director Singh should at least carry the Greek mythology themed movie properly... What really irked me were the inconsistencies with Greek mythology. The plot is so agonizing, slow-paced and pretty weak too. As a whole, this movie was below my expectations.

‘Immortal’ is not comparable to 300, in fact nowhere near either. The film-makers just made use of some ‘famous’ people or names from the Greek mythology and created alot of violent fights to gain attention from the audience. Oh well, the only highlight of this movie I would say was the gods started fighting with the titans and these scenes which made even better in 3D experience.
