Creatively Thai 2012: Siam Chic Avenue

Attended the launch and opening show of the annual Thai designer Showcase, Creatively Thai 2012 which was held at Singapore's largest retail and lifestyle shopping mall, VivoCity.


Back for the sixth year, this year's theme, 'Siam Chic Avenue' featured 37 Thai brands...


While waiting for the event to start, all guests were treated to authentic Thai refreshments...

All the guests were eager to witness the Official Launch Ceremony for Creatively Thai 2012






Creatively Thai 2012 was officially launched on the 13 June 2012.


To promote the graceful elegance of Thai creative culture, the reigning Miss Tourism Queen International, Kantapat Preeradachainarin made her appearance as a special guest during the launch ceremony...




She walked gracefully down the runway with 5 other models...

The fashion show, 'Oriental Glory' featured Thai Contemporary Brand, Watchara.

























Thai Contemporary Brands avenue are a collection of Thai designers using local wisdom and knowledge in creating unique Thai cotton, silk and dye fabrics to create up-to-date fashion designs.


After the runway, we had a tour around the exhibition of 37 Thai brands, the latest designs in men's, ladies' and children's fashion, accessories and jewellery from Thailand. 







I was pretty impressed by NOLITA, Thai High Fashion Brand... The nature of the business are mainly dresses for Evening/Cocktail parties. Prom Night, Red Carpet and of course gowns for the Bridal and Bridesmaids.






I was bewitched by all the dazzling fashion showcase and the delicate and extravagant gowns with intricate beadworks, pearls and crystals. Lastly, I bag-ged home with a lovely goodie bag!

 Thanks Claressa for asking me along to join her for the preview screening of Planes at GV VivoCity.   --- Posters of Planes ---         I was thinking to myself during the show, has PIXAR run out of ideas to make a movie? This movie has all the hallmarks of a standard PIXAR movie, such as Cars/Wall-E/Toy Story, with the looks and graphics being the same.     The movie, Planes is a carbon copy of 'Cars' with both the films logo being similar. Oh well, seems like a rip off to me!       The film focuses on Dusty Crophopper (voiced by Dane Cook), an ambitious crop-dusting plane that predictably spends his days flying over tall grass spraying fertilizer. [Nights with Netflix] Screening of Next Gen

Thanks Hpility , for extending your invite to me to attend the 'Nights with Netflix' event. This event was to check out Netflix's Singapore office, as well as to catch a special preview of an awesome screening! photo credits to hpility.sg   Netflix Singapore's office is located at Marina One West Tower , and it looked splendid! How I wish I could work in such a wonderful environment! The pantry looks just like an eatery place, and was well stocked with drinks, snacks and even cup noodles!   Nextflix won the global rights to stream the movie 'Next Gen' , and this newly animated movIe debuts on the 7th of September 2018 .  'Next Gen' is a family-friendly movie with pretty good computer animated visuals for a non-Disney/ Pixar/ DreamWorks production.     This film, 'Next Gen' was based on a short online comic from the Chinese Multimedia Company 'Baozou' .
