Movie treat: 'The Amazing Spider-Man'

An exclusive e-invitation from Safra Membership to the screening of 'The Amazing Spider-Man', and it is definitely one of the coolest movies to watch out for this Summer.

The Amazing Spider-Man is based on the Marvel Comic characters, Spider-Man, portraying the character's origin story and his development into a superhero while still being a high school student.

The story begins with Peter Parker (starring Andrew Garfield) as an outcast high school student who was abandoned by his parents when he was a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (played by Martin Sheen) and Aunt May (starring Sally Field). Peter has a crush on Gwen Stacy (played by Emma Stone). Soon after Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, his curiosity makes him want to figure out his parents' disappearance. He was later lead to Oscorp and met up with Dr. Curt Connors (starring Rhys Ifans), his father's former partner...

Andrew Garfield is indeed a better choice to play Peter Parker. He has a genuine charm and he makes the character of 'Peter Parker' more realistic. On the other hand, Emma Stone did a good job too.  The rest of the supporting casts are good too, especially Martin Sheen who plays a down-to-earth uncle and father figure who serves an upstanding role model to his nephew.

3/5

The story plot is cliché and dramatic but my heart was wrenched enough as much as it was supposed to when Uncle Ben died. Nevertheless, it is a pretty entertaining movie to watch with families and friends.
