My weekend stay @ The Scarlet, Singapore

I attended 'Time Out Singapore After-Work Social Session' at The Scarlet, Our Korner way back in January and I won the grand prize, a 2D/1N weekend stay at The Scarlet.

The Scarlet, Singapore’s first luxury boutique hotel, made her debut in December 2004 and provides a completely different 5-star experience. Nestled amidst the vibrant specialty shops, boutique spas, trendy restaurants and cafes, wine bars, antiques shops and art galleries, Historic Erskine Road leads you to a row of 1868 Early Shop Houses and an original 1924 Art Deco building. The Five individually themed suites, ‘Splendour, Passion, Opulent, Lavish and Swan’ are set to offer guests new levels of elegant comfort.

Due to busy schedules, we hardly had time to plan for our stay-cation at all. Then one fine day (somewhere in 14th July), we decided to redeem our stay in the end of the month. To our horror, the voucher expired on the 11th July 2012. Both Baby and I were pretty upset, so we decided to take a chance by emailing the hotel to extend the validity date till end of July.
YAY! We received an email from the hotel, and they approved our extension! Therefore we made our reservation to check in on the 28th July.

Upon checking in the hotel, we were given a Deluxe Executive Room as per the voucher stated... The room is pretty roomy even though it is located at Erskine Road (CBD district area).

The hotel amenities were fully equipped for the hotel guests... The Scarlet, Singapore takes care of the guest from head to toe. Upon entering the room, we were pampered by the hotel amenities like bathrobes and slippers.

The house wi-fi is available for the room guest... I brought my lappie with me, as I need to ‘play’ with it every night before I head to bed. The speed of the wi-fi is SERIOUSLY RAPID, how I wish my home wi-fi is having the same speed performance as I experienced at The Scarlet.

Chilled welcome drink from The Scarlet was placed in the fridge.

BOLD’ is located at the lobby area and the bar offers premium wines and champagnes, potent cocktails and exotic canapés.

The hotel facilities were pretty much expectable for a boutique Hotel. The names for each venue are creative and unique. ‘FLAUNT’ is used to for the gym centre, and the Jacuzzi is named as ‘SODA’
SODA, an open-air Jacuzzi is located on the same level (L2) as our room, it is indeed a pure indulgence for us.

Water jets massage will help to unknot muscles and whisks your worries and stresses away in a greenery surrounding environment.

Sunrise, the next day, and our stay included Buffet Breakfast at ‘OUR KORNER’. Our sumptuous first meal of the day, and we had a hearty brekkie at our Korner.

We were so full after our breakfast, and we decided to walk around the hotel instead of going back to our room and rot in bed while watching television.

We went up to the rooftop al fresco dining and chilling venue, ‘BREEZE’. It is a perfect spot for friends and families gatherings who love spending the evening together. Indulge in drinking, eating and bonding in a cosy sanctuary, under the starlit sky and a beautiful scenic of Central Business District (CBD).

Time to leave our room and The Scarlet, as we are checking out soon, again late check-out was rendered to us upon request. The service provided by The Scarlet was remarkable!

We will be back again in the future, as staying in The Scarlet is truly a refining experience for us... I brought home the olden times collectible – Back scratcher from the hotel. What a nostalgic and vintage gift!
