Outwit the Zits with Benzac®

Benzac®, a leading dermatologist-recommended acne brand launched a range of Benzac® cleanser products targeting different skin types.

The Benzac® product range is a full set of treatment solutions that consist of three gels in different strengths and five cleansers that comes in scrub, liquid and foam forms. The Benzac® cleansing range comes in a pimple gel, facial scrub, liquid and foam cleanser.

Benzac AC® Gel is a spot treatment and should only be applied to affected areas, and it is an aid in the treatment of acne and is available in 3 strengths for topical application.

Benzac AC Gel 2.5%, Mild Strength
Benzac AC Gel 5%, Moderate Strength
Benzac AC Gel 10%, High Strength

Always start treatment with either 2.5% or 5% gel. Wash and dry your hands before applying the gel.

Benzac AC® Gel treatments are suitable for people with mild to moderate Acne. The key benefits lie in keratolytic action (unblock pores), anti-inflammatory action, reduce sebum production and it kills bacteria within 48hours.

Benzac AC® absorbs surface sebum and hydrates the skin, as it absorbs excess oils (sebum) rapidly, thus reducing surface sebum which also helps to moisture dry and irritated skin. Another key ingredient that can be found in the Benzac AC® Gel is Glycerin, as it lubricates the skin, leaving it smooth and soft.

Benzac® Facial Liquid Cleanser (suitable for oily-combination skin)

The cleanser is formulated for combination to oily skin, and it removes impurities and helps to unblock pores without additional aggression. It also helps to reduce oiliness throughout the day.

Benzac® Facial Scrub (suitable for all skin types)

The facial scrub allows for deep exfoliation which helps to clean the skin and reduces skin oiliness without damaging. It is recommended to use twice a week.

I was invited to attend the STOP THE POP! Zitilicious event with Dr Hazel Oon, dermatologist from the Acne Clinic from The National Skin Centre which was held at Nine Thirty by Awfully Chocolate, Esplanade Mall.

Acne sufferers have different skin conditions ranging from normal, sensitive and oily to combination, the new range of Benzac® cleansers aim to complement the current Benzac AC® treatment gels by removing impurities from the skins ad unblocking pores, leaving the skin feeling nourishes and supple...

Over-cleansing will irritate the skin conditions and cause redness and leave the skin inflamed. The new Benzac® daily facial cleansers were formulated for effective results yet gentle to the skin.

Dr Hazel Oon shared with us some witty tips to outwit the zits, and I enjoyed her speech on dealing acne problems and the right regime for the skin type and of course to build up self esteem and overcome zits stress…

Loola’s at Esplanade Mall has recently revamped and transformed into the current Nine Thirty and still managed by the people from Awfully Chocolate, and they offers the usual western fare.

I love the Waldorf Salad loads!

Avocado Soup Shot

I chose the Pink Salmon Pasta as my main course.

There was a dart throwing game during the event for all attendees, and the points were accumulated after three throws. The most points win, and the results were revealed at the end of the event. There were 3 top scorers, and I was surprised that my name was being read out as the top winner.

Here's my prize!!

I left my footprints with some photos taken during the event...

It is important to understand that acne is a long-term disease, and most people resolve it during their twenties, but for some, it persists throughout their whole life. It can also affect the self esteem of a person.

So, boost your confidence today and prevent the next breakout with Benzac®!

We were given a set of Benzac® products based on our skincare type. I picked up the oily to combination skin type. I am excited to use them. I will share my experience after using them, and look out for my space.

The Benzac® cleansers come in liquid and foam types and they are recommended to be used jointly with Benzac AC® Gels. Benzac® range of daily cleansers and treatment gels are available at Guardian, Unity and Watsons* (*end of January 2014).
