I was glad that I attended the LG G3 launch, ‘LG G3 DAY’ at the ArtScience Museum, Marina Bay Sands to witness the birth of the most anticipated G3 Smart-Phone, which comes after the previously well received and successful LG G2 last year.

Under the new 'Simple is the New Smart' concept, LG G3 is a culmination of consumer research based on LG’s product development philosophy, ‘Learning from You’

LG equipped the G3 with a 3,000mAh removable battery and advanced optimization technologies to further maximize battery efficiency, thus the battery lifespan of G3’s battery is extended.

Better-looking selfies will be captured by the newest G3’s 2.1MP front camera, as a unique twist has been added to the standard timed selfie mode by incorporating gestures controls. When ready to shoot, simply clench your hand into a fist and the G3 will recognize the gesture and begin the automatic 3-second countdown.

The HD Display is a 5.5 inch Quad with 538 ppi, with a 4X resolution of HD and almost 2X higher resolution than a Full HD display. With a pixel density of 538ppi, the G3’s Quad HD Display sets a new viewing standard, producing images that are sharper and clearer than traditional smart-phone display.

G3’s innovative Laser Auto Focus is the first in smart-phone industry, and this technology enables the G3 to capture the best moments even in low light.

It also has a 13MP OIS+ (Optical Image Stabilizer Plus) camera with a revolutionary Laser Auto Focus that can shoot stunningly sharp images in a fraction of the time required by conventional phone cameras.

Polished metallic skin on the rear cover that is lightweight and fingerprint proof.

One of the unique G3 highlights: Smart Keyboard

Smart keyboard reduces input error by up to 75% by tracking and analyzing typing habits and intuitively ’knowing’ what word the user intended to type. The height of the keyboard can also be adjusted to better fit the user’s hand and position of the fingers.

LG lines up a range of new premium accessories to complement the LG G3, such as Slim Guard cases and Premium Slim Hard cases which are introduced to protect the G3 in good shape.

With the design of the QuickCircle case, it makes the G3 infinitely more useful. The folder style case offers the user to enjoy various features of the G3 without opening the cover. Users can check time, place calls send text messages, take photos, listen to music or even get an update of their health check directly from the circular window.

 Circular window looks more stylish than traditional rectangular-windowed smart-phones cases. LG's QuickCircle cases come in various eye-catching colors.

LG has re-designed the Graphic User Interface (GUI) with the Simple is the New Smart concept of the G3.

  

LG G3 offers new enhanced security features such as KnockCode – It enables us to unlock their device with a pattern of taps. With the G3, users have the option of being able to use KnockOn to 'wake the screen', which allows for checking of time as well as entering the home screen of the phone directly via KnockCode.

ContentLock keeps personal files safe and hidden from view when sharing the G3 with friends. When The G3 is connected to a PC, ContentLock prevents previewing of files, so date is still kept confidential.

Harman/Kardon has a 60-year legacy of creating premium audio and ground-breaking sound technologies. LG collaborated with Harman/Kardon, the bluetooth stereo headset, LG Tone Infinim (HBS-900) delivers premium audio sound in stylish design. With superb sound experience certified, it delivers great sound in a stylish design highlighted by sleek curves and a glossy metallic finish, and it is Built with retractable wire.

LG Tone Infinim is equipped with a jog button to fast forward and rewind effortlessly as well as a sound and vibration alert function to inform of incoming messages, current time and battery status. It also offer the longest standby time - 55 hours. LG Tone Infinim is compatible with a bluetooth device in LG G3 smart-phone, Name Alert which says out the name or the phone number of the calling party and this feature is only available for G3 users. 

The LG G3 will be available for pre-order in Singapore at selected telcos from June 14 to 21 June 2014 at a recommended retail price of SGD868 / 16GB and SGD928 / 32GB.The pre-order package consists of the QuickCircle and new wireless Charger (WCD-100) worth SGD98 and SGD68 respectively. The G3 will also be available at LG authorized retailers from June 28 2014.
