Preview Screening of SARA

'SARA' is a Hong Kong film directed by Herman Yau, and produced by Chapman To. It explores the dark secrets of the sex tourism industry in Asia. The movie is starring Charlene Choi and Simon Yam as the protagonists, and the show will be premiering in Singapore on the 26th of March. The movie is rated as R21, with no cuts.  


Both Charlene Choi and Simon Yam won the Best Actor and Best Actress at the Macau International Movie Festival for their Category III Film, ‘SARA’ last year. Charlene was also nominated in the Best Actress Category at the upcoming 34th Hong Kong Film Awards 2015 for her breakthrough performance, ‘SARA’. The results will be announced on 19th April 2015. This movie is a new challenge and breakthrough film for Charlene as it is a completely different role from what she has been doing before. 


The movie centers on the life of a journalist, Sara (played by Charlene Choi) who went to Chiang Mai, Thailand after some unhappy work issues with her editor-in-chief. In Chiang Mai, she encountered an underage prostitute, Dok-My in the bar and she starts to bond with her. Upon meeting Dok-My, it brings back her dark childhood memories. 


During her teen days, she was molested and raped by her step-father, and she ran away from home, which led her meet up a much older man, Kam Ho Yin (starring Simon Yam). They stepped into a complicated relationship for 8 years. She sold her body to him in exchange for money to pay her monthly rent and school fees.


‘SARA’ is a film with good intention and pertinent messages to impart to the viewers. Thanks Clover Films for the tickets, and I really enjoyed the movie very much.

 Thanks Claressa for asking me along to join her for the preview screening of Planes at GV VivoCity.   --- Posters of Planes ---         I was thinking to myself during the show, has PIXAR run out of ideas to make a movie? This movie has all the hallmarks of a standard PIXAR movie, such as Cars/Wall-E/Toy Story, with the looks and graphics being the same.     The movie, Planes is a carbon copy of 'Cars' with both the films logo being similar. [Nights with Netflix] Screening of Next Gen

Thanks Hpility , for extending your invite to me to attend the 'Nights with Netflix' event. This event was to check out Netflix's Singapore office, as well as to catch a special preview of an awesome screening! photo credits to hpility.sg   Netflix Singapore's office is located at Marina One West Tower , and it looked splendid! How I wish I could work in such a wonderful environment! The pantry looks just like an eatery place, and was well stocked with drinks, snacks and even cup noodles!   Nextflix won the global rights to stream the movie 'Next Gen' , and this newly animated movIe debuts on the 7th of September 2018 .  'Next Gen' is a family-friendly movie with pretty good computer animated visuals for a non-Disney/ Pixar/ DreamWorks production.     This film, 'Next Gen' was based on a short online comic from the Chinese Multimedia Company 'Baozou' .
