Food Hero 2016 Finale

The search for the region's best home cook and host has begun in Asia, and after five weeks of challenges and eliminations, the finalists for the Food Hero 2016 have been selected. The grand finale competition was held in Singapore at The White Rabbit, Harding Road.


 
The top 4 finalists for the Food Hero 2016 were Anton Amoncio from Philippines, Pattaya Benjavari from Thailand, Farris Danial Abdul Rahman and Koh Kay Kim from Malaysia.

Anton Amoncio's Cheesy Lamb Rack bested the entries of the other 3 finalists, and he was crowned as the champion of the Food Hero 2016. A big congrats to Chef Anton!
 
Chef Anton's love for travelling has allowed him to experience different cultures and heritage of the countries he has visited, which inspired him to always create unique recipes based on the destination. As a winner, he will join Scripps Network Interactive to host several programs shown on the Asian Food Channel (AFC) and The Food Network Channel.

 Thanks Claressa for asking me along to join her for the preview screening of Planes at GV VivoCity.   --- Posters of Planes ---         I was thinking to myself during the show, has PIXAR run out of ideas to make a movie? This movie has all the hallmarks of a standard PIXAR movie, such as Cars/Wall-E/Toy Story, with the looks and graphics being the same.     The movie, Planes is a carbon copy of 'Cars' with both the films logo being similar. [Nights with Netflix] Screening of Next Gen

Thanks Hpility , for extending your invite to me to attend the 'Nights with Netflix' event. This event was to check out Netflix's Singapore office, as well as to catch a special preview of an awesome screening! photo credits to hpility.sg   Netflix Singapore's office is located at Marina One West Tower , and it looked splendid! How I wish I could work in such a wonderful environment! The pantry looks just like an eatery place, and was well stocked with drinks, snacks and even cup noodles!   Nextflix won the global rights to stream the movie 'Next Gen' , and this newly animated movIe debuts on the 7th of September 2018 .  'Next Gen' is a family-friendly movie with pretty good computer animated visuals for a non-Disney/ Pixar/ DreamWorks production.     This film, 'Next Gen' was based on a short online comic from the Chinese Multimedia Company 'Baozou' .
