Gambero Rosso’s Top Italian Wines Roadshow

After four previous successful editions, Gambero Rosso’s Top Italian Wines Roadshow was back in Singapore for one day event at CHIJMES HALL. More than 1000 wines enthusiasts gathered together at one of the world’s most-anticipated Italian Wine Tours.

In this latest edition, Gambero Rosso’s Top Italian Wines Roadshow brought in over 60 top-notch Italian wineries that fully represent Italy's best! Italy is home to some of the world's oldest wineries which are lauded for its ancient craftsmanship in producing fine quality wines. Lately, Singapore is becoming a key wine-hub in South East Asia. The roadshow next headed over to Sydney, Australia after Singapore for the next leg of its tour.

I was glad to be invited to attend Gambero Rosso’s Top Italian Wines Roadshow 2017, and upon entering the premises, I was amazed by the numbers of tasting tables on offer, which had almost 300 wines from 64 wineries! There was also a comprehensive program of seminars led by Gambero Rosso’s best wine experts. I was pretty excited for the wine tasting during the event, as this was my first media-invite to the roadshow. 

The wine that caught my attention the most was the Felline Cicala Rose, as it was an impressive and aromatic wine. It tasted like juice but it contained an alcohol content of 13%. I love the intense berry flavor very much, as it is perfectly paired with pasta and salads
